Minority Firm Incubator 2.0

The Minority Firm Incubator 2.0 is a new & improved 42-week program that provides the training and tools needed to propel female and minority-owned patent law firms, existing or yet to be launched, to the next level of success. This program includes free training & strategy classes, concluding with a pitch session with a panel of in-house IP attorneys.

The MFI 2.0 is an integral part of Harrity’s ongoing diversity initiative to recruit, retain, and advance attorneys who will contribute to the diversity of the patent field. Our first MFI 2.0 began on January 11, 2022 with 7 minority-owned firms, and concluded with final client pitches in November 2022. Three of the participating minority firms have already won work from participating corporate partners as a result of the program.

• 10 dedicated internal personnel 6 selection committee members

• 15 mentors

• 6 panel presenters

• 10 pitch panelists (in-house counsel)

We are looking for mentors, selection committee members, panel presenters and pitch panelists (in-house only for these various opportunities) for the MFI 2.0. Specifically, we are looking for panelists to present on: What in-house counsel look for in law firms. Mentors are assigned to a particular minority owned firm and provides coaching to them during the 42 week program.
