School of Fish: STEM Careers in IP Law: a cost-free educational scholarship program for rising juniors, rising seniors, and graduate students who are enrolled in a four-year undergraduate or graduate STEM program. School of Fish is designed to educate students about the field of intellectual property law. Sessions expose participants to the types of intellectual property, the multiple areas of IP law practice, and the various career paths of IP professionals, including attorneys, technology specialists, and patent agents. Students who complete the program receive: $1,000 scholarship; discount for LSAT or Patent Bar Exam preparation courses; reimbursement for LSAT or Patent Bar Exam fees; and personalized career advisement.

Team Size

Administrative Team: 5, including representatives from Professional Development, Recruiting, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Legal Staff Instructors: 3 per weekly session, rotating

Time Commitment

Legal Staff Instructors: 1 hour planning, 2 hours presenting

Students: Classroom time 2 hours per week for 5 weeks, two days in-person programming
