The Harrity Academy is a free program which introduces diverse participants to the field of patent law, provides exclusive training, practice materials, and mentorship, and teaches how to effectively and efficiently draft and prosecute high-quality patent applications. The goal of this program is to help increase the number of diverse candidates entering the patent field while enhancing the quality of their overall practice. To date, we have had over 200 unique participants, with many attending multiple courses. In a six month follow up career survey, 55% of respondents said they began either their first patent job or a better patent job as a result of the skills they gained in the Harrity Academy™. 95% of respondents noted that their patent skills and confidence significantly improved from attending the academy.
